Reviews For Family Fun Magazine

This is our favorite magazine!

I love magazines and always have several subscriptions but this is the one that I always renew. There are endless ideas for fun things for kids (and adults) to do. I save them and refer back to them often when looking for a special holiday craft or a recipe. We just had a heavy snowfall, I think I'll dig out some of the winter issues and find out about snow painting, building a snow fort or maybe just some board games to play while it's so cold out.
In addition to all the wonderful craft ideas and recipes, there are great articles geared toward parents too. I also like the reviews of toys, books, software etc. Travel ideas for families are there too. I wish I could afford to go to some of those great destinations.
My friends (even the ones without children) often find fun recipes and crafts to try out. This is one magazine that is definitely worth the price.

Family Fun -Packed with good things!

I have been subscribing to Family Fun for years, since my little ones were toddlers. Now that they're 9, 10 and 12, I'm still finding many helpful things in this magazine.
I just finished reading cover to cover the February 2000 issue. Although it was rather thin (120 pages), it was full of great ideas!
We were especially excited about the article 25 BEST BOREDOM BUSTERS!!They always offer quick ideas, with items you generally have around teh house anyway. A good example of this was to build a sky-scraper out of old cardboard boxes you have around the house, coloring windows, etc., with markers; and adding 3D mailboxes, flowers and so forth to bring life to the creation!
Another favorite feature is always the travel section, with loads of ideas of places nationwide that are family-friendly vacation spots. This issue included a feature called THE RESORT REPORT, on all -inclusive vacation destinations. They also had an article on great Science Museums across the nation.
As a home-schooling mom, I also appreciate the craft ideas. A simple idea that I plan to use is setting up a table with legos, modeling clay,
markers, stickers and other craft goodies to break up the boredom throughout the day.
I totally recommend this magazine, and the subscription rates can't be beat! (12.99 for 10 issues)

Great for teachers as well as parents

I love this magazine and look forward to reading it. It is always loaded with ideas that make you look like the most creative parent or teacher around. I used Family Fun ideas for all three of my children's birthdays last year and their friends are still talking about them. As a teacher, I have used many of the ideas in my classroom and they are always a hit. Another feature that I like best about this magazine is the travel section. They tell you which resorts cater to children, what areas have the most activities for children, etc. I read this before planning any vacation. We are planning to go to Smuggler's Notch in Vermont because of all that Family Fun has said about it. The down side to this magazine is that there are alot of advertisements. But, that is in most magazines and at least, these are all for things that interest me. The subscription price is so reasonable. It is well worth the money to get this magazine.

A "Must-Have"

Family Fun magazine is a terrific resource for families who want to make the most of their time together. Each issue is packed with crafts, recipes, travel information and other "goodies".

I've been subscribing to Family Fun for a little over a year now. I look forward to each issue. One snowy day, our issue arrived. Inside we found fabulous "snow fort" ideas. We were able to use the ideas right away.

Many issues have also featured great projects like a loft bed, a sandbox play area, and others. The magazine is well written. The directions are clear and concise.

I also find myself referring back to old issues for ideas. It is the one magazine I know I can turn to when I need to spark my creativity.

Full of Fun From Cover to Cover

I first found this magazine six years ago and have maintained my subscriptions ever since. It is by far the best, most comprehensive magazine for families.

The magazine starts off with the Mailbox, a great place for readers to share ideas. I have learned so much from other readers, this is always my first stop. Each issue brings with it ideas for the current season, holiday or special events for the family. Here you can find craft ideas, food items and games. Even the kids take time to read this section, they love to see what new things we can do to celebrate the season. The yearly birthday issue is a favorite at our house, you can get unique ideas for birthday parties, from invitations to party favors.

There is always a family travel section, suggesting interesting places for families to visit, many off the beaten trail and otherwise unknown. I have taken a few of the road trips, they are accurate and have made some memorable trips for our family.

The magazine is finished out with toy and software reviews, keeping you up to date with the newest things on the market. It has bright, colorful pages, making it a magazine even the youngest member of the family will enjoy sharing. Unlike many of its competitors, it does not have an overwhelming amount of ads.

I have made this a gift to other family members, and highly recommend it. You will be hooked with your first issue.

Family Fun- The perfect Title

Family Fun is the perfect title for this magazine. My kids and I can't wait for it to come every month. I enjoy reading it from the first to the last page. My eight-year-old even enjoys looking at it and getting ideas from it. My four-year-old enjoys looking at the pictures.

We get great parenting ideas/advice through this magazine and GREAT party ideas. My eight-year-old loves the Birthday Party Planning Issue and the Holiday Issues. We always use these ideas, plus come up with some of our own, to plan our parties. It always has such good ideas on things to do with your children, from crafts to major projects to vacationing spots.

A neighbor turned me on to this great magazine a few years ago. And I've subscribed ever since! I highly recommend it to any parent.

Family fun indeed

I have been a subscriber to Family Fun magazine for about a year. I love it. It has the best ideas for crafts and foods to do and make for every holiday and season. My son loves to see the newest issue to see what craft we can do this time. I have given to a few subscriptions to friends and they love it also. I have a friend who homeschools and she has found it helpful especially with finding new crafts to do and places to take the kids. I think it is worth the money. The subscription is very reasonable.

Family Fun-A Favorite

The first time I had ever seen Family Fun magazine it had made it's way to my door through a stack of old magazines somebody no longer wanted. Little did I know how much it would mean to me at the time. I was a single teenage mother who literally had no money. I paged through other magazines often looking for good ideas for my daughter's birthday parties, education development and everyday ideas to keep her entertained without having to turn on the television. Pretty dissatisfied with the results of other Parenting and Family Magazines, I read my first issue cover to cover.

I came away with so many interesting, entertaining and resourceful projects and ideas that I knew somehow I just had to get a subscription. About a month later, I asked a friend to buy me just that for a birthday present. Since, I have used Family Fun subscription for gifts for new mothers, and families on Mother's Day. It makes a wonderful gift.

As for the design of the magazine, I cannot say enough. I can flip open to any page anytime and read an article in a short time. The pictures and graphics are vivid, and the content flows nicely.

I have since saved every issue that I have. I purchased a large three ring binder and a package of sheet protectors and save all of the articles, ideas, patterns and pages that interest me. I put them in a sheet protector and place in the binder in which I divided into categories. I use this as a quick reference when I need ideas or inspiration for projects. At the back I keep a few subscription cards for any gift giving I may have coming up.

As for price, it is very competitive. I encourage anyone who is interested in Family magazines to subscribe and pass along to friends. It makes an excellent gift idea.
